A Practice for a Home Without a Ceiling is an ongoing queer familial practice of navigating home, distance, and belonging with place and within oneself. Jun! performs with her father via Zoom and screens a performance film where Jun! co-searches with her father for his demolished childhood home in Suzhou, Wujiang over Zoom. In between the Zoom performance and Zoom film lies a ice installation representing the ice that has formed between Jun and her father as she transitions genders.
