Jun!yi Min is a performance artist, video artist, curator, and educator from Singapore living and working in San Diego. She graduated from her MFA in Visual Arts at University of California San Diego. Jun!’s works ruminate on death, rebirth and belonging through the endurance practice, a practice of waiting for a different future. She is mainly interested in rituals that bring about change and transformation, and enjoys working with objects that act as portals to psychoanalytical spaces. Through objects, Jun! learns the body’s relation to objecthood. In 2023, Jun! performed and curated Queering the Table at Mingei Museum and Material Intimacies at Bread and Salt at San Diego. More recently in 2024, she participated in the 69th Flaherty Film Seminar: To Commune, and worked with her Asian artist collective Tigercrow Collective in materializing their first exhibition and Elsewhere at Best Practice exploring Asian diasporic experiences through objects that hold memory.
