I monologue autofictional childhood memories that showing a child’s creative resistances and solutions to gender norms. Through the lens of a trans child, fragmented narratives of disciplinary violence are monologued to show a child’s unconscious reckoning that her body is inhabitable for gender variances, and that simultaneously a house is not synonymous to a home. By integrating play, objects, and audience participation, I seek to reveal the psychological tensions that these mundane and yet absurd stories contain.
